DSI fault light if it's on how do you reset it?

Yes I am. I'm a camping rookie lol and this has just come on as I was getting the camper ready for our mad trip out

I understand. Please read the above link on my edited post #2 as it explains the Direct Spark Ignitor (DSI) and how it functions, including the lockout mode.

Let us know if that doesn't suffice or you have more questions.

Even if you possibly have the Atwood water heater, the fault/reset light works the same as the Suburban.

Being a newbie, the link in post #2 above should help in a lot of things. it also explains the bypass/crossover valves to your water heater you may not be aware of too.

Ok great I'm headed to my camper now to fill it and turn on propane to ensure all is well. I will turn on the gas slowly and will turn on the stove to bleed the air out and then turn on the switch inside see it it sparks and fires up. Thank you for all who replied

Make sure that water heater tank has water in it. This is crucial. You can flip up the pressure relief lever on the water heater tank to verify.

If you just turn on the hot water taps, and the tank is still in bypass mode, you will get water out of the hot water taps..but it's not coming from the water heater...and is just where the cold water line is crossed over into the hot water line.

You have to be sure that tank has water in it.

Thank you to everyone who responded and helped me out. I turned everything on to include taking sir out the propane lines. And it went out. Yayyyyy!!! Thanks again
