Elec stabilizer not working

241qbxl salem , front stabalizer. I put spray lube on 2 days ago, washed this am, stopped working after wash.

Not sure of brand but it has about a 3" wide actuator connected to a channel which holds the. Stabalizer.

When extend is pressed nothing happens... sometimes. Sometimes it will torque in the holder but not move the screw drive.

Questions, what brand /model is this? And should i start w a new switch or actuator?

Can you post a picture of it?

Are they individual stabilizers, or are both stabilizers on a common channel powered by one motor?

Looks like my lippert. You have the latest switch style. That's what I replaced my old style switch with when mine stopped working. If you pull the switch and use a 12v jumper from the battery you should be able to check if the switch has failed.

Not my best video but in any case.

Mine was hit and miss. I replaced the motor and cured the problem.

Lost connection

Ours quit 2 times. Dealer fixed both times found that the connector was bad to the motor from the switch.

We took our 2017 FR 201BHXL out this weekend, the rear stabilizer jacks where acting odd before we left our house retracting very slow after I taped on the motor. They did not extend when we where setting up at our camp site. So spend the weekend without them. Tried them again when we got back home still didn’t work.

I’ll try using the remote tonight to see if it is the switch. If it’s the motor what is the best way to check out to see if the electric motor can be repaired or would I have to replace it?

I could not find a manual crank; I’m guessing I’ll have to purchase one. Would have thought one came with the unit?

Thanks

Have a look for a manual handle in the front outside pass through compartment mounted on the wall! Hope that where it is.

Thanks for your quick response,

I took everything out of the front storage (both sides) reached into any area where it could have fallen into but could not find any crank handle. I did not look inside under the dinette in the storage areas?

Called the RV place where I purchase our RV. Tech I spoke with said I will have to buy a hand crank. FR does not provide one.

He also said the manual crank would be too hard to turn fighting against the electric motor. He suggested I check the breakers and fuses to make sure there is power to the motor; I feel it is more than that.

Don’t have time until this weekend to check things out.
