Troyt, mistakes do happen, and it's really up to you how you want to respond.
From a customer satisfaction standpoint......I would think that if you agreed to return the jack, that they would at least send someone to deliver yours and pick up the other one. This would be the path of least resistance for all concerned, and the option I would offer to the dealership. Really, nobody should get mad this way.
There is also a possibility that whomever did make the mistake may be trying to cover their mistake from the big boss/owner.....so they should jump on any opportunity you afford them to keep it off the big ikes radar.
If you do decide to go this route, I would be firm that it is to be a trade, and you will accept yours in place of the other at the same time. Who knows, they may even send a tech out to do the actual labor of swapping the units.
EDIT: Oops, I just noticed the date of your original post. All of this friendly advice may be too late.

Just to be sure I'm tracking along properly, it is a Lippert Components (LCI, not LGI) unit we are discussing, right? I have a late-model, white-top unit which is working fine, but is certainly noisy as has been noted.

Not sure... They both look similar. I had one of them on my Rockwood, which died after two years. Not only died, but he manual operation bolt sheared off while attempting to hitch up. Bought a Barker and haven't had any issues since.
On a side note. If there is a grinding noise, it may be worthwhile to pull it apart and check the thrust bearing. I've seen those disintegrate and cause all kinds of issues.

Have the white one. it is loud, and the LED lights have stopped working or are at best extremely weak. Other than that.....it works well !
I would ask they come to you for the swap out !
