For anyone using small engines such as saws, pumps, weed eaters, etc. Try something like True Fuel ( Home Depot) or Stihl Motomix. Both are 92 octane with no ethanol, premixed 50:1 and had stabilizers. This stuff works awesome in small 2 strokes. Easy starting after sitting with no use also. Don't have to worry about gaskets and seals rotting with the ethanol. I use it at home and work.
As for e85 (85% regular/ 15% ethanol) as it's called around here, it's garbage like everyone else says. Even with flex fuel calibration, still not worth it.

Other than a daily driver I would not use ETHANOL in any small engine or a vehicle that sits for long periods of time.

Anything two cycle will be harmed by using ETHANOL especially in "COLD WEATHER"!

buy 87 non ETHANOL if you have to.

The BEST most IMPORTANT thing YOU can do if ETHANOL is your only fuel CHOICE available is to completely fill the tank with gas to NOT ALLOW or COMPLETELY minimize AIR!

Ya can't buy what isn't available. You can't find non ethanol gas in NC. Haven't seen it available in the last 15 yrs or more. I don't like it, but have no choice. Haven't really seen any ill effects from it other than reduced mileage.

You always have a choice. But I doubt you'd want to move out of state just to avoid ethanol.

Have not seen any ill effects of it other than reduced mileage, so it's not a big deal. We travel to FL every year and it's not available anywhere on the way, so why worry about it. I agree it's a big boondoogle, but we can't do anything about it until things change and I don't believe that's going to happen.

While on vacation in Mississippi earlier this year, I saw many stations advertising 100% gasoline. Couldn't figure it out, but now I do BTW I drive a diesel.

The Quick Trip station listed for Concord (6 miles from our house) has been gone for 3 yrs and I'm not driving all over the state trying to find something I don't see a need for.
