I like 100% gasoline when I can get it....even if it costs a little more.

you probably are and don't even know it. If you really aren't using it, you are one of the lucky ones and keep it that way

Isn't the pump supposed to be labeled if it's ethanol?

Perhaps I could have been clearer. Most pumps are 10% ethanol. Some around where I live are 0% ethanol. I'm asking about the E15 or 15% ethanol. It's cheaper by far but the bang you get for the dollar seems to be weak. Is anyone using E15 and what do you think about it?

ethanol is horrible. You will get worse mileage. It's very corrosive to everything but plastic and stainless steel. It's bad for the environment no matter what the government says. It takes more energy and wastes more water to produce than gasoline does.

Dave1971 you are spot on with your assessment. E15 is cheaper by far compared to E10 or E0. Still, I never see anyone at the E15 pumps. That's why I ask. The lesson to be learned I guess is stay away from E15, while cheaper, it's bad for the engine and you'll be paying in the long term..

There's new reports coming out every day showing that ethanol is actually more harmful on a large scale than regular gas......oops.
GM told us that regular everyday engines run fine on ethanol up to E20, at that point you need a flex fuel engine calibration.
You'll see a bit less fuel mileage (Regular engines see a fairly direct interchange, E10 means a 10% drop in economy, E20 would see a 20% drop, up to the 20% point. Flexfuel engines don't see this change due to calibration, YMMV though, literally.) and a very slight power drop, almost unnoticeable.
As for me..........no ethanol for my truck, though I have run it on biodiesel before!

the E10 that we are all stuck buying is very harmful to small engines. Lawn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, etc. Seems to be even worse on 2 stroke engines, including boat engines.

A couple of years ago there were a few in the DFW area, one was S of Ft Worth on US 377,
looks like they are all gone.
Here’s a good link for E0 stations

10% is 30 cents cheaper here in corn country. Regular is still easy to find though. I believe you're paying the difference anyways, just not at the fuel station. I'm really liking making the switch to diesel!

Ethanol free premium is available at some stations in Mi. A few years ago my chainsaw mechanic suggested I try it for all of my two cycle machines and I did with great results. Also my snowblower that starts at -20. About 50 cents more per gallon but well worth it when a saw or snow blower starts well.
Ethanol seems to be nothing more than another fraud.
