Question Extra Breaker

For some reason I popped the access door to my electrical panel & noticed that there was a breaker marked "WTR HTR". AFAIK, my heater is propane only. Is this a case where all models get the same wiring whether or not the water heater is dual powered or not?

If it is a 110 volt breaker, then maybe the factory just labeled it wrong. Or you might have 110 volt and don't know it.....check the lower left on the outside of your water heater to see if there might be a toggle switch there.

If it is a 12 volt fuse, then that is needed to fire the flame on automatic start water heaters.

It is very likely that the power converter used on your unit is the same one that is used in many other units, as well. The breaker either is not wired to anything, as a spare, OR the water heater is indeed a dual powered unit, which I personally thought that they all are. Have you opened the outside cover, and checked in there for a hidden switch?? It would need to be on if indeed it happens to be AC powered, as well. It has a clip through it, locking it in the off position. Randy

According to the option sheet the water heater is propane only. The trailer is up north, so I won't be able to check the heater until the weekend.
