Fair Weather Furnace

We have a 2013 Flagstaff TT with a Suburban gas furnace. We thought we had a thermostat issue because it would come on and heat and then shut off. The temperature would drop, so we would manually either turn the heat off and back on again or move the temperature setting way down and then back up again. However, at night, it wouldn’t come on and run at all no matter what we did. We bought a new thermostat, and it worked fine. We thought, great, problem solved. However, once it got cold outside, the furnace wouldn’t work, just like before. We also noticed that when it does run, there is a slight noise that sounds like a car door slamming outside or maybe a basketball bouncing on the pavement outside the trailer. We have full propane tanks, the stove works fine and so does the hot water heater. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like that could be the flame blowing off the burner and reestablishing. It usually makes a "woof" or "pop" sound.
