Short of replacing an entire sidewall, the only way to repair is epoxy injection.

Mr. Havercamp, l have considered epoxy injection, but looking at the pictures what would you recommend? I am a first time RV owner (newbie) looking for advice of Veteran RV owners.

If you can live with it leave it. Personally it would drive me bonkers every time I looked at it. I would do the injection.

Not only bonkers but as the sun/temperatures will expand and contract the already loose lamination, it will probably get worse as time goes on.

We had the transition strip leak badly on our previous DF Toy hauler one winter... Fixed the problem but didn't take it apart to dry it out. What a bad mistake that was.... cost me a complete rebuild of the front 6 ft of the trailer. Didn't realize the effect of the water damage until after the filon decided to part company from the trailer on the highway which slightly shortened our vacation.

That's a bad experience, but how did you get it home? One thing in afraid of is just pumping resin in the wall without seeing what's in there. Mine is not wet but I'm sure there is plywood delamination also, got the roof repair fixed, the damage on the roof was when previous owner had the RV, it was sealed up, water had been stopped the roof was dry when I opened it. I will pulled the corner molding off and easily peel the filon back and determine best way to repair.

This is some of the damage done around Skylight, just above filon delamination.

This is after repair, I took the skylight out as you can see, skylights to me are nothing but a leak waiting to happen, reckon that's why you see most over the bathtub, joking but I even took two out of my home, double trouble.

Alot of Duct tape, and alternate routing to keep us off the highways got us home...
Fortunately the DF was stick framed, not pinch rolled styro walls, which made the repair a bit easier...
I have done the resin fix on our hunting camper... We bought it damaged and repaired it... 5 yrs later and it's still perfect.

Did you pump the resin in with a syringe?

Yes I can agree with stick framing on how it would have been a little easier, but I still imagine a job.

Sorry for the delayed response, had to go out for a while....
When I had the roof off the camper I was able to separate the top of the wall enough to very carefully pour a thinned down mixture down the delaminated part of the wall. I was also able to clamp the wall while it dried. Of course you can still see the delaminated area if you look at it, but it doesn't really stand out, and it is solid.

A couple pic's of the DF. I was able to complete the majority of the job in 4 days, (long days).... It was a pretty big job that I really didn't want to do.
I wasn't able to get the front 100% smooth, but at least it wasn't going to come apart easily when I finished with it.

Great job, and not just a regular repair, with all the bathroom waterlines etc. it added to the headache. This finished product looks good, I would be happy with any job that turned out that good.
