First motorhome, not sure what this is

This is a 98 Coachman Leprachan 29'. we've been doing basic cleaning and system tests for the last couple of days. I was walking around it today and found a small pipe (see circle on pic). It has what appears to be a large bolt screwed into it. The pipe goes toward the center of the RV but I can't see where it goes (haven't gotten on the ground yet...).

We're taking it in for service next week but I thought I'd see if anyone has a clue what the pipe is.

Any chance it might be the awning tool? I tugged on it but it didn't just slide out; maybe I need to pull harder?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Do you have a slide on the opposite side?? It looks just like the access hole to manually operate a slide on the opposite side of your MH.

Does that pipe go stright in from the side of the motor home? If it does, and this is just a guess from the position and your photo---if your rig has a spare tire it may be the access hole to the spare tire winch, kind of like you might find on a pick-up truck. Position looks about right for some type of access to a spare. Never have seen one mounted like that, but you never know!!!
