First trip out, only one issue, NO Tv!

Roo has Sensar amplified head. Worked GREAT last year. Now it wasn't picking up anything. Turned that puppy every which way but loose, no signal what so ever. Was in the next spot over from where we had camped before and had great signal. Only one channel but great signal.

Light shows that it is supposed to be getting power. Hopefully will be able to get someone up on ladder to make sure connection at head is good. Will try to get inside of where the connection on pannel is that goes on to TV tomorrow.

Any other ideas of what to check and where before I invest in a new amp head? Not crazy about spending that much, but this weekend I'd given double to have a way to watch to see where stroms were.

House lost a few shingles, nothing happened at campground.

It's probably NOT the amplified head.
Don't spend your money too fast.
Are neighbors getting the station?
As you said, check all connections first.

We ran into those same storms pulling our trailer around
Lexington. Cars were pulling off the interstate and it was
difficult to see the lane lines.
We puttered along at 40 with our flashers on.
I was afraid if I pulled over someone would hit me in the rear.

Good luck and Happy Camping!

Make sure the station is still on the air.

I had a similar problem last year.....both of the coaxial center wires had corroded at the connection that goes through the roof. Use a jumper cable between various points to pinpoint on what section the problem might be. I used a jumper from the antennae to the booster, and got reception OK. If that doesn't work, try a jumper between the antennae directly to the TV.....a strong station should still give you something without the booster. This way, you can isolate where the problem might be.

I know that WBIR is still on the air. That wasn't the problem. Tried it again after coming home and still nothing. I know that here at home I should be picking up all sorts of stations. Mostly out of Bristol, Johnson City area. Still nothing.

Will have ladder in place for hubby to check things out when he gets home. He loves it when I have stuff waiting on him. hehehe

I'm also betting on a loose connection.
The most likely is the one on the roof where
the coax screws onto the antenna.

Tell your hubby not to simply check that it's tight.
Unscrew it and check for water and corrosion
at the end.
Look carefully in this area for cracks in the cable.
The cable bends every time you raise, lower or turn
the antenna and it's really cheap stuff and not made
to be all that flexible in the first place.

Good luck!
