Forest River rocks!

Hi all.....
Not many people go on user forums to give an atta-boy or a thumbs up; usually quite the opposite. Complaints about defects, workmanship, service, etc. run rampant.

I'd just like to give a shout out and a big thumbs up to the Warranty Dept. at Rockwood. We had a light fixture that was very loose and kept dropping down while in transit. Our dealer said it really couldn't be fixed or tightened, but didn't offer to get us a new one. (Curious about that...maybe they forgot??). It only took a quick e-mail to Doug at Rockwood to get one shipped out the same day! It looks a bit different than the original, because of course, they changed the model (after only 7 months of ownership), but this one will look nice as well. After installing it, we'll only have to wait another four months before we use our TT again.

Now if we could just get Flair Interiors to send us a replacement for our couch, we'd be all set. We've only been waiting for that since early June. It did come in, but it was damaged, so now we're waiting for the second time. Guess if it comes in the next four months, we'll be okay.

Thanks Rockwood.....for putting up with all of us who strive for perfection....me included!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Good to know if we need them they will come.

As an aside, heading up to Wisconsin this Saturday to visit the DW's family. Any chance for a white xmas in the Chippewa County area?

this is from the DNR website....
"
Only far north central Wisconsin has any remaining snow cover, with the most being reported in northern Iron County at about 5 inches. Most areas are reporting only 1 to 3 inches of snow remain."

We don't have any here and aren't expecting a white Christmas anywhere around us. There may be a scant half-inch tonight in Chippewa Falls.

Yes it is. And I just found out that my in-laws are staying with us for 2 weeks. I'm not so sure I can handle that much togetherness.

I have also been extremely happy with my experience buying a Forest River product. We had to have a few small things replaced, and as you experienced, one phone call and the parts were sent out immediately and free of charge, no questions asked.

Curious... what were the issues associated with your couch?

I wish I could say the same thing... but I've had to replace items in the first 3 days and when we got home after picking it up. Sent in photos of the missing or damaged items and the replacement costs and still nothing 3 months later.

The dealer here refused to carry out the repairs so I did it myself but at the same time the dealer refusing to do the work disgarded the broken parts.

FR wants the old parts before sending out a replacement cost cheque. I guess I'm out 200 dollars.

I also have 4 worn tires from an over active CAM adjustment on the axles. 1,700 miles and the outside treads are all but smooth.

The cushions on the back had some huge puckers with the stitching. Looks okay on the right side, but the left is really ugly. Maybe they hope we'll forget about it. They haven't experienced my tenacity.
