Free to Air Satellite TV?

Hi, 1st post and new FR trailer owner.
Was looking at doing some boondocking in west central Arizona in Feb 2011 and was wondering about Free to Air satellite syatems and/or tv's that pick up Free to Air stations. Any comments about reception and availabile stations. Would be looking for news, sports and light entertainment.

Unless you have a large bank of batteries, or a generator, you can forget satellite TV while boon docking. they will suck a single battery dead in very little time. Seeing as how we may have different views, boon docking to me means no power and no water or sewer connections. Maybe others can help.

Real FTA satellite is a bit of a hobby for me, and let me tell you there isn't much up there worth watching (unless you are interested in foreign language or religious channels). There is the odd channel, but usually they are spread over a bunch of satellites, so you would need a motorized dish. There may be some channels on C-band, but I am guessing you don't have room to pack the 6-12' dish
