Question Freon

O.k, after some reading, it looks like I might be low on freon.The unit was built in 2006- would this use r-22, or r 134a?

Well........ if YOU were really low on freon wouldn't that be a job for your Doctor

Now if you MEAN your RV is low on freon you might help us by telling
us what that is and are you talking about a motor home and are
you talking about the dash AC or the roof AC?

Freon

It's a 2006 Salem PT, and it's a rooftop unit. I'm just not sure about the make and model.

As far as I know, the roof top AC's can't be recharged. They don't have the Schrader valve as part of the unit that is used to recharge air conditoners.

Service valves can be added to check and recharge rooftop a/c.

Yeah, they are more similar to a refrigerator, and are a sealed system.

you are 100% correct, they make a tap style schrader valve that can be installed onto an existing refrigerant line.
