FRF V-lite Dexter Axle Recall?

Hello Friends. Does anyone know about the Dexter axle recall. I been trying to get ahold of someone at the FR Factory but no return call as of yet. Someone was saying they had a good three inches of clearance between top of tire and under side of wheel well, I only have about an inch but know signs of rubbing of any kind and no problems.

I've not heard anything about a Dexter axle recall.

About a year ago there was a recall to install a lift kit on my 2013 Windjammer, but it had the Al-Ko torsion axles (not Dexter) and the axles were technically not recalled. It was an installation error at the factory which did not leave adequate clearance, which was easily solved by installing a lift kit. Here is one thread with some references to that:

I would just add that "about an inch" is what I had before the lift kit was installed on my Windjammer pursuant to that recall and, while I watched it closely for several months and did not see any evidence of rubbing or obvious damage, the service department at the dealership reported noting that there had, in fact, been some minor rubbing above the tire in the wheel well at the time of installing the lift kit. Therefore, I would be leery of so minimal a clearance, recall or not. Your axle manufacturer should have some standard for the proper installation of the axle establishing the required or recommended clearance. Others here on the forum might have advice or other information, too, but you might need to start a new thread to elicit that info.

Not sure what phone number you are calling, but if you call the main office at 574-642-2640, they will direct you to an available warranty person. They always ask for a VIN number, so be sure to have that when you call.

I contacted FR over a year ago about the wheel clearance on my Vlite and was told it was not part of the "recall" for adding the lift kits.
I understand that some had the lift kits added at the Goshen Rally. I wonder if those that had the work done were under that "recall" or were they inspected and decided it might be a good thing to add the lifts.

Me wonders.......
