Fuel economy on 10,000km trip
Just finished a 10,000km trip to the Arctic Ocean in our 2019 Forrester 2291 Class C with the Ford V10 engine.
Average fuel burn was 23.8 liters/100km. or 10 miles/US gallon over the 10,000km.
The mileage varied quite a lot depending on the speed we were traveling. Couldn't do much more than 50km/hr (30 MPH) on the gravel roads and fuel burn was in the 18 to 20 liters/100km range. When We had to travel faster on 2 lane paved roads to keep the transport trucks from running up our ass: 95-100kph (60-65mph) the fuel burn was in the 26-27 liters/100km range. (9 miles/us gallon)
Fuel price varied from $1.239CDN/Liter to 1.799CDN/liter.
