Furnace and A/C running at the same time.
I have a 2016 Coachmen Chaparral I bought in January. It's my 4th trailer.
Just returned from our 4th camping trip this year. We used the furnace all the trips. This weekend when I put the thermostat (Dometic digital) on "Heat", it turned on the furnace AND the A/C. I had to throw the breaker for the A/C to get just the furnace to run. During the day, it got hot so I switched the thermostat to "Cool" and the A/C worked fine. (after I flipped the breaker back on)
Pretty sure it's the thermostat, but I'm hoping this is a common issue with an easy fix. My dealer is 2 1/2 hours away.

If the fan on the t-stat is set to Lo or Hi it will run whenever the furnace runs. Crazy, I know, but that's how they work. Set the fan to Auto and it won't run when the furnace is on.

A Google search after I posted turned up the same thing and a post on here from 2013 saying the same. Here
Apparently DW said she was "playing" with it the day before. Now I have to figure out how to put it back on Auto since it doesn't make it very obvious.

Set the thermostat mode to FAN then use + or - to cycle through HI, LO, AU

The easy fix is to make sure the fan is on Auto that sollves the problem

Yup. I was dying trying to figure this one out. As others have said, set the fan to auto. Problem solved.

We turn the fan on Auto and then I turn the AC to 55 and heat up to 70 when using in the winter, then I reverse it heat down to 55 and AC up to 70. Crazy how those dials works

Thanks FlyBob,
I found one and read through it, but didn't save the pdf. I have this one now. It made sense when I read it, but 3 weeks from now when we are heading out again... What did they say about the first thing you lose?
