Furnace not coming on! FREEZING Cold! Help

Hello,

I'm a new Rv'er I love this Lexington by forest river - my heater was working great. The other day I tried turning it in and it does not come on - no blower no nothing.

1. Propane stove works fine
2. Fuses all good
3. Only know how to turn it on from the thermostat inside

It's a 2005

Don't know were to start - HELP

Give us some additional information and maybe we can help.
Things like...
Furnace brand?
Model #?
Analog or digital t/stat?
Batteries good?
Plugged in to shore power?

If the blower won't come on and it worked previously, it's possibly a fuse. I'd start checking fuses first.

Looking at your stat, it appears the power comes in on the red wire/terminal in the upper left. If the t/stat lever is all the way to the left, it breaks the circuit by using the plastic tab on the lever to open the contacts attached to the red/terminal.

The power goes through the stat and back out on the white wire/terminal.

Is there 12v on the red terminal?
I would believe a temporary jumper from the red/ terminal to the white/terminal would eliminate the stat and tell you if it is the culprit.

If you have no voltage on the red/terminal you need to look elsewhere.

EDIT: do other 12v appliances/lights work?

Yes, you should.

But that's more of a general statement and might not apply to this exact issue. Still, they're very handy and every RVer will eventually need one one day.

Regarding the furnace, did you try the Microsoft approach? Basically, turn it off then back on? Sometimes if it doesn't lite the first time it goes into a lock-out mode. Need to kill the power to it to reset and clear the lockout.

I think you are saying - kill the main breaker - wait a few min - then try cutting it back on from the thermostat?

Cutting out the main electrical breaker won't cut the 12v supply to your camper.
If you are sure of the fuse for the furnace, pull that one and wait a few minutes.
If you are not sure, simply unhook your battery (and unplug from shore pwr.) and wait a few minutes and reconnect.

Are you plugged in to shore power or just running on battery?
