Furniture Change Out In Your RV

Has anyone changed out the sofa in your RV and if so, was there any problems doing so? The one we have is a sleep sofa and most likely it would have to be stood on end to get it out of the door. I am sure it is heavy. We were thinking of replacing the sofa with somthing more durable like Leather.

We changed out the furniture in our 03 Silverback. The sofa and 2 rockers were replaced with a leather love seat and matching recliner. The sleep sofa is heavy. To remove it pull the back straight up and it will come off. You will then have 2 pieces that will fit through the door w/o having to flip on end.

OK, I didn't think about detaching the back from the base. Thanks for the Idea.

Hey, we have a sleep sofa in our fifth wheel too. We are thinking about changing it out to two recliners. No one really likes sleeping on the sofa bed and it blocks the passage way in the living room when pulled out. We really think we would be better served with two recliners. Anyone have ideas or suggestions?
Thanks
Bryan

I simply have too much furniture in my Rockwood 8280Ss 5th.

We are having guests this trip this weekend so we might need it all, but I am seriously thinking leaving two of the 4 chairs for the dinette and one of the "barrel" chairs at home.

Less weight, more space, and more room for radios.
