Is anything plugged in 'downstream' of the GFCI that would be causing it to not reset?
Most GFCI's protect several other outlets throughout the camper.

I had a downstream outlet in my side compartment that was mounted to the wheel well. After driving in a storm my gfi in the kitchen would not reset. Traced it to water infiltration at the downstream outlet. Disconnected it and was able to reset the gfi. The outlet had screws that went completely through the wheel well allowing the spray from the tires to soak through.

It could be this outside outlet. Lots of rain lately and I washed the camper. Trying to dry it with hair dryer.

Quite likely.
Outside outlets are protected by an interior GFCI outlet.
Water in an outside outlet (as mentioned above) would cause the interior GFCI to not reset.

Replace it. Keep your receipt. If needed return it. At least you'll know if that's it.

Yeah.

GFCI receptacles can protect you from faulty devices, however they most often come into play in wet areas.

If your GFCI is functioning correctly and is tripping, be happy you have it.

Whom ever suggested the outside receptacle made a good call... especially if it has been raining.

It's way more important in and RV than in a home. If there is leakage from the HOT side of the circuit to the frame of the RV, just touching any metal on the RV while standing on wet ground could electrocute you. Really.

There is another way, you can change each receptacle to an individual GFCI by making the entire circuit a feed thru. You do have to change the way the circuit feeds each receptacle or it will not work.

gfci problem fixed

I just want to thank all of you good folks who tried to help me with this problem. I was SO close to actually fixing it myself when I went and bought and installed a new GFCI receptacle. However, it still wouldn't reset. Well, my good friend who knows a little bit about everything came over today and found out what I'd done. When installing the new receptacle, I had put the "line" where the "load" needed to and vice versa. As soon as he reversed the wires it reset and all my other receptacles came to life. Thank the Lord who know what the heck they are doing. Thank you all for trying to help me here.
