Good repair shop in Louisiana?

Our slide is broken. The fun never stops. We are headed to Central Louisiana to visit family.

I found a shop in Scott, Louisiana, that looks very nice online, and is close enough. RV Collision of Louisiana.

Does anyone have a repair shop to recommend or avoid?

Thanks!

My husband thinks the slide will have to come completely out. He wants to drive by a place and find out.

There is a roller tipped over. It was always tipped a little, at least since the warranty was up. My husband jacked up the slide and tried to straighten it, now it's worse.

Gauthier’s Rv. They are located right in front of rv collision. Same people. Collision center is more for rv body repair. Gauthiers are good people.

Thanks so much! I wondered about that but it said in facts they do everything. I'll call Gauthier's Monday and see if we make some arrangements.

As good as they get and as honest as the day is long.

He has done work for us on a couple of occasions and we were always well and truly pleased.

I wondered where he went after he left Henderson, he was always doing repairs at Cajun Palms.

Not yet, we are Florida headed to Alexandria in 5 days. Gauthier's RV can’t make an appointment for us til APRIL!! Busy. We didn’t buy it there also which comes up for dealers.

We just talked Good Shepherd and we can go by there on the 11th or 12th and make a schedule then.
Thanks for checking on us.

I have to tell y'all what happened last Christmas. We are visiting my family and, of course, driving our tow car around. We are parked at Target, shopping. This car has South Dakota plates, 2 kayak holders, bicycle rack on the back and a big storage box on top. We are obviously traveling. Somebody left us a "WELCOME TO ALEXandria LOUISIANA" note on the car! On a LSU stickie note.

Can you believe that? I was so proud of my little hometown and my alma mater. We have gone all over in that vehicle. We, 99%, go to small towns, in 27 states and 7 provinces. No one has ever done that. (Well, once a man in Louisbourg, Cape Breton gave us 2 squash.)

The South really is nicer. And the people that left the note may very well have been Cajun!!

Honestly, Bossier is too far from Billy's Boudin. I have to go there anyway, several times. Thank you, however.

Hey Errbody!

We did have our slide fixed at Good Shepherd RV by Mitch. He did a spectacular job I have to say.

When we bought this the slide stuck out more at the bottom than at the top, a lot more. We were told this is so it can slide in better. Anyway.

He said the gear tracks were installed "outside of their tolerance" on the side closest to driver's door and so the slide went in funny.

He fixed the rollers so they won't tip over or fall out, added 3 rollers and fixed those gear tracks. Now the slide looks even at the top and the bottom. It glides in and out instead of struggling and screeching. He did say the slide motors looked good. In spite of 3 years of struggling.

I am really happy about the fix ...except... like every fix, the repair guy says, "gee it was installed wrong in the first place", or was never taped up or screwed down or whatever.......very discouraging and expensive.

He's really nice and did a great job, we Highly Recommend Good Shepherd RV.

(and boudin at Billy's...)
