Oh...so the foam would be to fill the end of the duct? It's a pretty large opening...12.5" x 2.75". Plus...once capped, and the camper is repaired, I'd never be able to get at that duct end ever again, without ripping the RV apart.

Hey, it's a done deal, as far as I'm concerned. I feel better knowing that I won't be heating the outdoors.

Who in the Dickens built that thing? Hope it wasn't Flagstaff or Rockwood. I'm currently thinking very strongly of buying either a Flagstaff 26RBWS or a Rockwood 2606WS (exact same units-different name on it) think they must both be built in same facility.

If you mean where was it built, according to the VIN it was built in Goshen, IN.

If you're referring to the uncapped duct, that would be a factory faux pas.

If you're referring to the rotted wood, that would be because this camper was sitting under a tree, unattended for 6 years after the owner (husband) died. Sheer neglect.

Lot of "If's" going on here......

It's one of those things where I was torn between junking this camper, or attempt to fix it.

You can read my introduction in the Welcome Mat forum (New guy from RI). It explains the situation better.

In all actuality, it probably isn't worth the time, money, or effort that it's going to require, but I'm going to do it anyway.

Wish me luck!

Rich

I read the intro. I have done things like that. I bought a VA repo one time. The roof leaked in 4-5 places and luckily it was brick veneer and on a slab.

Good luck and keep up the good work.
