|
House current v 30 amp.
Hoping someone could help me out with an electrical question.
I have a new Roo 19. When I hookup to the house current, my outlets do not work. Are they supposed to?

Yes. Check breakers both house and trailer. If you are plugging into a GFI protected circuit on the house it could be tripping. GFIs don't agree with many RVs and will trip. Try another outlet

Are your breakers on in your panel below the fridge, or is your GFI tripped? The GFI will be located in the bathroom below the sink.

the bathroom GFI is probably the likely suspect.

In plain english-- all the outlets in your trailer are on one circuit.
This circuit has one outlet that is a "ground fault interrupter".
That one outlet controls the rest.
It has a little test and reset button on it.
Push the reset button!!
(Also plug something into your house outlet to be sure
it's not tripped as mentioned earlier.)

I will add my own experience on this subject. I had a Rockwood PUP, and as previously mentioned all of the outlets were on one circuit and all were dead. In my case the GFI wasn't "tripped", but the reset button wasn't making full contact inside the outlet and that prevented power flow. The dealer replaced the outlet under warranty, problem solved.
