Lot of complaints here about warranty with Forest River. I have a 2014 29RE Silverback that has had several problems but I have found Forest River warranty department very easy to work with. All my problems have been resolved in a timely manner.

you will find no one ever talks about good stuff they always talk about how bad a product is. I also have never had a problem with forest river warranty either. That's the nature of the beast someone has a problem and its the worst product on the market. No different than any other manufacture out there.

On one of my under storage doors double locking one do not lock. The cam lock latches is about 1/8 inch short. Also the fiber glass bottom lips is wave. It is bad workmanship. Monday I will call Forest River about this. The good thing about these problem is that I have videos.

Ride,
With all due respect, you are better off fixing it yourself rather than investing time and money in an endeavor I feel is equivalent to urinating into the wind.

X2 to Andy52,s comment while we have had problems with several warranty issues with our 2016 33IK Forest River has been easy and good to deal with. However our purchasing dealer has been horrible, so much so I don't plan on using them again.

Here comes the long part. After acceptance and on first trip fridge stopped cooling, and level up jack started leaking. Called dealer immediately dropped off, 6 weeks later picked up went out for week those two items still not working correctly, called dealer again, 4 weeks later picked up. Dealer said all is good fridge no issues and jack not leaking. Now headed south first stop and after de-winterizing guess what yep fridge not cooling and jack still leaking. Called dealer, now know their idiots. Called Forest River Warranty service, great people. Advised to find repair center they would reimburse. Located a Refrigerator specialist in NC he took care of fridge and handled all warranty stuff no out of pocket, other than an extra week in local RV campground. Fridge works super. When we got to final destination a week late, called a local RV repair person asked him if he could do warranty on Forest River he said yep . Stopped got part number for leaking jack, 3 days later was replaced, again he handled all paper work no out of pocket.

Here is what I have found out talking to these independent repair people. Providing they are Forest River authorized they have an agreement for their rates and they are happy to perform the work. If they are not an authorized provider you as the owner need to get the OK for the repair from warranty services. They in most cases can tell you what and how much they will reimburse for a repair. This serves two purposes. You know the reimbursement you will get back and in general if the repair person is trying to get extra money from you. But beware the labor rate paid by FR is minimal for some items and for a difficult repair the repairing companies labor rates may be higher, that's just business.

When we get home I am going to locate a local RV repair company that does Forest River service who has a good reputation and start using them. They are quicker and take more pride in their work, because it's their lively hood.

My warranty expired by 2 months when I discovered there was cracks in the side walls. After my dealer contacted Wildcat it was decided to bring it back to the factory with no hassles about it. They did it under a "Good Will" plan. They picked it up from my home in Michigan, fixed it, and returned it to my winter home in Arizona. The repairs included replacing both sides of my RV, repainting front cap, replacing a wheel, replacing the awning, and replaced the kitchen stove. Very happy with everything and will buy Forest River again.

Assuming you're asking about the standard one year FR warranty, FR makes the determination on how the unit is going to be repaired, and the repairing dealership or any other repair facility will be contacting FR directly so they can ensure they will be paid for their work. Typically, the selling dealership is the first point of contact, but obviously, if you're on the road you need to find a FR dealer. I had to get repairs while on the road and it was relatively painless.

It's in the fridge with the beer in Chassell and the key is under the mat.

No need to call forest river, just take it to any dealer that's authorize to work on FR and they will work with FR directly. They'll take picture etc and send to FR to get approval before they do the work. (so they can get paid)
