Fella10 is absolutely correct. I usually turn the table upside down first. Releasing the pressure on the frame makes it easier.

It's totally unintuitive. Stand at the latch end of the table, release the latch as described and pull the table TOWARDS you. Don't try to push it down - once it starts to swing towards you, it will begin to lower on its own. Just guide it down into place, where it will latch closed.

One of the reasons we leave ours up, even for travel.

Stand table upright on it's legs in the dinette with the yellow button towards you. ( If it's new spray a light shot of WD40 on all the pivot points to loosen it up and the spring loaded pin adjacent to the lever with the yellow button.) place your foot on the base leg, slide the lever and pull the table top towards you. It should start to collapse. As it does slide it into place on the bosses where it rests. Very simple once you've done it a couple times.
To raise, lift up the front end (only) allowing it to pivot on the two rear bosses attached to the seat. Move the yellow button and rotate the leg assembly downward into final position and release the latch. Pull the table forward rotating it up and onto it's legs

Thanks to everybody who came to our rescue! Don't understand why they have to make a table so hard to use, and one that is so wobbly?
So thank you

Totally agree with the above. Short of replacing the thing entirely, what have people done to stabilize this thing? Tried taking the feet off to see if it would keep it from rocking, but the bolts on the bottom stick out.

We hold ours in place for travel with a strap, secured on one side with a screw and the other with a turn button.

The strap holds the table tight to the rail in travel and is easy to release during setup to make room for legs.
