How many people does it take to change a lightbulb?

I've got a 2011 Rockwood Roo 21SS, and want to change the light bulb above the dinette table. Anybody know how to do it?? I've tried unscrewing the center silver tip by hand, and can't loosen it....I'm assuming that's how the globe is held on? Here's an image of the light I'm referring to:

blueleader2k's photos and albums on webshots

Anybody got the secret to getting it off without breaking it??

TIA,
LoryJ

I have the same fixture in my camper and all I did was unscrew the center silver tip by hand.

After reading this, I checked mine and can't get it loose. Only messed with it for a few minutes. I'll try it again this week end !

Now that you have me interested in taking it off.......if I get it off, i think i'll replace it with a energy efficient bulb that won't get so hot !!

I have the same fixture as well. Simply unscrew the knurled cap on the bottom. HOLD THE GLASS.

Depending on how the FR "Cheers" Technician felt the day he installed the fixture it could be "he man" tight. There may only be a few threads catching so be careful. Once apart you can adjust the hollow threaded rod as needed if it was too short.

I replaced the two bulbs in there with LED equivalents I got during a Lazy Days RV store visit while we were in Tampa.
