info would be appreciated

I have a new rockwood 2317 and am getting ready for the first family trip this weekend.

I must say that the dealer was less than informative about all the working features of this unit and the info accompanying it (manuals etc) is lacking.

I have a few questions. Will, or what do I need to do to make the interior lights work on 12v?
I see the switch for the water pump, but even when it's not running water comes out of the tap? Why?
Where is the water filter?
I know the furnace is an automatic on/off, I have managed to set the fridge temperature with a digital thermostat.

How do you drain the water out of the "p-trap" for the sink?

I know this is random jibber jabber but I am just writing down stuff I think of.

Any help would be appreciated. I am a complete newbie.

I see the switch for the water pump, but even when it's not running water comes out of the tap? Why? Your probably connected to the city water inlet. You only need to use the pump when using water from your fresh water tank.
Where is the water filter? I'm not familiar with your tt, but if you have one the filter is usually close by the water pump.
I know the furnace is an automatic on/off, I have managed to set the fridge temperature with a digital thermostat.

How do you drain the water out of the "p-trap" for the sink? I usually poor a little of the tank chemicals in the sinks when the tt is not being used. I do the same with anti-freeze when winterizing. Water in the P traps keep the odor from the tanks from entering inside the tt.

Also, to the forum.

Hope this has helped. & .

May not have internal water filter. More often you attach one to your exterior water supply hose. Leave it attached if hooked to campground water supply or attach temporarily to the hose when filling on board tank

it's always helpful to ask model-specific questions, in the model's section here.
you're asking questions specific to a popup, so you should be posting questions in the tent camper section here.
popups have unique features that are not common in other types of RVs.
