Internal caulking on Tracer 3150BHD

Howdy,

Since picking up my Tracer 3150BHD this March, I have had the opportunity to take it out on 9 separate camping sessions so far this summer. Its been a blast, but as I use it more, I realize that there are many options to improve seals, seams etc inside the TT.

Has anyone used silicon caulk to seal the seams on the shower walls to the ceiling or wall corners? Looks like it certainly couldn't hurt and a good thing to add to the list consider how school is starting up and summer nears its end.

Just curious if anyone has done this and if so, did you just get some GE silicon bathroom caulk or is there a recommended RV caulk for the inside as well?

I also want to seal the outside kitchen panel walls as well.

Let me know.

Thanks, Joe

Never used it in my lacrosse, but in my old Montana I did use bathroom silicon to seal around the wall and shower based. Used the same GE stuff right from home depot and it seemed to work just fine...

I also have the Tracer 3150 BHD and I talked to my dealer when I picked it up because seams at the shower wall/tub were obvious. He said the tub extended up behind the shower wall so sealing was not necessary. I hope he was right as I took his word for it and didn't seal it up. Let me know if you learn different.

x2

I was also told that the gap allows for flexing. I ran a few beads of caulk on the tub itself to form a dam so water will not run onto the floor.

Hello,
I used caulk around my shower. Had the dealer do it when it was in for warranty work.
I also had them add a couple more of those fasteners to the surround.
