Wifi

We have been using the Verizon Hot Spot and most of the time it is adequate. You have to watch your usage however, because the first 4k goes really fast. We have streamed movies over it but that really eats up data time.

I've used both an iPad 4g as a hotspot and a separate MiFi 4g hotspot device, both on Verizon, both worked well.

One thing to mention -- if you pop an iPad on something like a MiFi hotspot and you have your iPad configured to backup to iCloud when connected to a LAN connection, you will likely use up all of your monthly bandwidth in a few hours if it runs a backup, so you'll want to think about turning off iCloud backup if connecting with a mobile broadband hotspot.

That completely explains some incredibly high data usage for us! Man, thank you!
