Is There A Graveyard For Campers?

Just woundering, is there a place for old used RV's and if so what do they do with them? Can one turn them in for scrap money like cars and trucks?
When we take a trip to my daugthers college in Williamsport PA along side of Rt-15 there are many TT and Motorhomes that are setting off of the road near the river and nothing else around and they all are in bad shape.

Yep, we have an RV "wrecking yard" only about and hour or so from our place. They part them out put everything into bins inside their warehouse and you can go there to buy a replacement window from an 85 Winnebago or a used entry door from a '94 Fleetwood, etc. They have air conditioners, furnaces, refrigerators, lights knobs and switches, you name it. There are several around the nation. I would bet that they compact down the aluminum frame and turn it in for recycle.

Here tis,

Singletons RV Salvage

There is also this one in Arizona: Arizona RV Salvage Inc.

I have been to the one near us, great place to kick around. Wished it was a bit closer though. Would be a great resource for projects.

If you want a local RV salvage yard and can't find one via Google or the Yellowpages, call a few local RV dealers.

Some of the rigs they take in on trades aren't worth selling used and must go somewhere.

I've called my dealer a few times to get info, such as where they take all their rigs for alignments and such.
