Is there any gadget to check campground power?

I had trouble with my inside breaker tripping on my last outing, took it back to dealer and he could not duplicate, blames it on the campground. I've been to the same campground for years with my other camper with no problems.(not always the same site) Is there someway to check if it in indeed a campground problem?

Tripplight makes a circuit tester and they are available at most hardware stores and home improvement centers. Although they are for 15/20 amp outlets you would need an adaptor to use it on 30 or 50 amp outlets. I haven't seen one made specifically for 30 and 50 amp sockets.

Yes there are ones for 30 and 50 amp receptacles.

I have one of these:
Surge Protector Circuit Analyzer - 120V/30A

It indicates the line condition but you cant close the cover of the load center with it in there. You need one with some cable to close the box. Like this one for 50 amp use:

Progressive Industries 50 Amp RV Portable Surge Protector from tweetys.com

Why not a simple volt meter? That's all you need to trouble shoot any electrical issues on/in/around your RV.

The one NW Jeeper recommends will check the volts & also if it hooked up right.

I have a unit similar to NWJeeper's, and it doesn't check voltage.....only polarity, ground, and unconnected wires. You can also get a unit similar to that that has a button to push to trip a ground fault receptacle.

I have the Tripp-Lite unit as well, and also use a Kill-A-Watt P4460 to measure voltage and current draw. Be advised that the Kill-A-Watt is only rated to 15 amps, so don't put the full load of your coach to the test!
