King Jack Antenna/ Not Happy Camper

Switched about 3 years ago from crank up type to King Jack. 1st winter I covered camper, weight of snow broke antenna at base. Purchased a new one and did not cover camper, worked OK for awhile and then the coax up inside broke. I called King and they sent me new cable. Just came home from trip and I noticed a large crack in base again. The plastic base is too thin!!

I think I will just go back to Winegard and add wingman.

Any other better suggestions?
