Konka/Jensen DVD issue - NO Picture! Help!

We just bought a Salem 30KQBSS and are using it for the first time. We have tried everything to get the DVD player to work - including reading the manuals - and cannot get it working properly. We have Konka television and a Jensen DVD player. The DVD will play when inserted, we can hear it playing, but we cannot see it.

I'm pretty sure we've tried every setting and pushed every button on both remotes, but I'd LOVE some guidance if anyone has this combo and knows how to make it work.

After reading several posts, we assumed it was not was not properly connected in the back of the television and thought we'd just take the tv off the wall and check the connections. That lead us to Problem #2: We cannot get the tv off the wall. We called the dealer and spoke with the service department. They said two different mounts are used but both of them just pick right up off of a "V" shaped mount. It feels and looks like the whole backboard is going to come off with the tv, but it still won't budge after wiggling and lifting and everything else we can think of.

So, I guess I have 2 problems.
#1. How to work the DVD.
#2. And if it involved fixing the connections, what's the trick to removing tv from the mount.

Any help and suggestions are very much appreciated!!!

Are you able to take a picture of where all the connections are plugged into the TV? You do need to make sure all of the wires are in the right holes, both in the Jensen and the TV. And....the right selection is chosen on the TV menu.

What you're describing recently happened to me. The culprit ended up being a broken connection....The tip of one of the male connections had snapped off.

Unfortunately all the wires going from the DVD are up through the bottom of television area and then behind the tv. So, we are unable to see where anything is connected without removing the television AND we can't seem to get the tv off the mount. Our dealer is over 1.5 hours away so we are trying to fix it without having to drive back there. Thanks for the suggestion though!

If you can get to the rear of the CD make sure all of the connections are in the right place...They are usually color coded, if not, check the manual.

Are you able to receive any TV signal at all, even fuzz? Is the TV lighting up? Is it on?

Is this your TV? Konka 32 inch 81c HD LCD TV + wall mount & 20 movies | eBay

Is this your wall mount system? Use a mirror to see behind the TV.

New Forest River Salem for sale in Hamilton OH | 2012 Forest River Salem 30KQBSS (Outside Kitchen) Travel Trailer For Sale from Jeff Couch's RV Nation in Hamilton Ohio - Jeff Couch's RV Nation
This is a link to the camper and if you scroll down you can see how the television is mounted to the entertainment center. We cannot access the DVD wires at all. Our dealer said the mount was shaped like a "V" so I'm note sure the Ebay link is the same mount...but who knows. We've tried using the only mirror we have with us - which is pretty small - but we'll attempt a bigger one at home.

I crawled up behind my TV and indeed there is a "V" mount that keeps mine (not in an entertainment center) from bouncing out while going down the road. If you are able to reach your hand behind the TV you will find a small lever that must be tripped before your TV will lift out. Good luck

Make sure you are using the correct "input" setting on the remote. While it is playing try them all. My remote has one marked DVD and it doesn't work but input #3 does. Simple try?
