Leaky 2011 cherokee 28BH???

Hello Guys and Gals! A couple of months ago I purchased a new 2011 Cherokee 28BH. Love the camper, have had it out a couple of times spent six nights in it so far, away from home and have had a ball! Here's the only problem we have had so far, with the slide out pulled in all the way, when it rains water wets the fabric on the sides of the slide and runs water on the floor. Has anybody had this type of leaking problem with there cherokee or other style campers? Would love to here all of your experienced thoughts! Thanks

i have a different trailer. would check the seals that go around the trailer for tears or fit. take a look from the top for fit. u may even try turning on the lights inside and going out and see if u can see light around the seals.
i'm taking it that it only occurs when the slides are in.
my slides pull into the seal.

Hey thanks for the reply! Presently its over at the dealership getting the leak fixed but I have a bigger problem now, a couple of days ago a nasty hail storm dropped baseball size hail on it and messed my TV and TT all over both, so I am sick about this and dealing with insurance company now. Probably going to have to reskin the whole from of TT. Ive only had this thing for a couple of months. Oh sick in South Carolina!!

Relax Jammer, we can't change Mother Nature. And that is why we have insurance. In a few weeks you will be enjoying your camper and forgotten all about it.

Sorry to hear your having so much trouble. We just picked ours up saturday. I hope we do not have problems with the slide. Right now, it's in the driveway with the slide out.

Just got ours today, in the rain on the way home and I leveled it put the slide out and we have no leaks.
There are limit switched on the slide that turn it off when it's all the way in or out and they are adjustable. Spent some time sorting paperwork since there was nothing else to do in the pouring rain and noticed that.

Hope you get your TV and TT figured out with the insurance -
one thing I always say is you can always replace the TV or TT but you cant replace your family
I understand about being sick about it - when I got my 2004 Dodge some people tried to steal it and messed up the drivers door and lock - man was I pissed and put up camera's and it never happened again - then christmas 2009 one of the guys from church backed into my drivers door and crinkled it pretty good - I wasnt pissed or upset - God works his magic in all of us

Hey guys thanks for the words of wisdom, you all are right, I am keeping my chin up and working with the insurance company to get all fixed. Gonna have to reskin the whole front, replace some vent covers, and the tech said he was gonna go over that slide with fine tooth comb and reseal windows and whole slide. I just hate the thing is brand new and having all this work done already! But on a good note we have spent six nights in it so far and had a blast! Hoping to get it back soon and plan another trip! I really do love this camper! Happy camping guys!

Jammer, its better to find the leaky slide now than next February. Next year you would be racing the warranty. This way you just started the warranty. Forest River is a good company and will stand behind their product.

In all the running back and forth to the dealer I had a chance to install the maxx air vent covers and a tornado flusher in the black tank. I think the maxx air covers is the only thing that saved the vents on top!
