License plate holder

I'm looking for suggestions on how to remount our license plate without needing to buy an entire rear light on our trailer. We have a Roo and our cover caught the license plate as we were taking it off. It appears that the holder is an integrated part of the rear light so I cannot just buy a new bracket to install. Has anyone else had this happen to them and how did you fix it? Pictures would be great too! I wanted to just mount it elsewhere but we need the white light it provides at night for state regulations.

Pictures of your damage could help us figure out a solution.

We replaced the taillights on our unit and I gave the Factory (Light/LP bracket) to a FRF member in Calf. I mounted the L/P on the ladder of our unit.Your ROO spare tire cover nut should allow you to mount a L/P bracket. A wire can be run for the light if needed. Youroo!!

Buy two.

Corner Braces by VALUE BRAND - Braces and Reinforcement Hardware by Zoro Tools Industrial Supplies

Screw the plate to them and hold it to the light, use a sharpie to mark two spots for a drilled hole, one for each.

Remove the lens check for clearance when drilling holes.

Screw/bolt the braces to the light replace lens.

I used something like this:

Universal License Plate Bracket | B428-09 | Nuera Trailer Parts

I pulled the light, modified the bracket to fit/work and then remounted the entire assembly. I think I picked up the piece in the trailer supply section at Academy or Tractor Supply.
