Lippert Electric Stabilizer Jack System

Bad experience over the weekend with our stabilizer jack in the rear of our brand new camper. 2nd trip out, wouldn't go down (at least not stuck in the down position). Purchased travel trailer through Camping World, walk through was ridiculous...nothing on the mechanical systems. I know how to work a micro-wave...don't know how to manually override the electrical stabilizer system. Then come to find I don't have the cranking jack either. Is it worth getting the motor fixed or just converting to manual from now on? So many problems with this system from what I've read.

Did the motor not run? First trip out with ours had the same thing happen. I happened to look down, and there was a roll pin laying there
Popped off the motor, figured out how things lined up, re mounted motor and installed pin, used small hose clamp around shaft to hold pin in place, extended stableizers and back to camping. Add ed to warranty list. Dealer fixed at end of season with about 12 other small things.

Probably needs lubed. Our became wedged in the up position. Pried it down while hitting the switch and it broke free. Dry lubed everything up and it's been fine since.

Pro tip. Don't run two at once. lol Unless you like replacing fuses.

As Riccochet said, it may just need to be cleaned and lubed. Ours quit working and I cleaned and lubed it and now it works fine. Due to the location of these, if you tow in the rain, be prepared to re-lube after each trip.
