Mr Breeze there are aftermarket tank level indicators you can buy. They fit in between the tank and the hose to your regulator. I added 2 to my trailer last week and found that both tanks were draining at the same time. It's a warranty repair for me as I've had my trailer for only 2 weeks.

These campers should come with decent manuals instead of the basic one page covers all.
i feel of the tank: the temp will change where the liquid is. the temp of the liquid changes at a slower rate than the cyclinder. there are tapes that u install vertically on the side of the tank that work the same way.
