M20FVW Monitor Panel

I have a 1999 Terry 27x trailer. I recently purchased it and there is a tank monitor located inside. Does anyone know how to operate it or can give me some guidance? I want to see how full the tanks are but no lights are illuminated unless I press the battery button. Should at least the "E" light be on if the gray and black water is empty? Also what is the Pump button for?

fresh button will give you fresh water level only.
battery will give you battery condition level ONLY when not plugged into shore power .( it will always show full when plugged in)
pump switch is for your fresh water tank water when you don't have a city water access .

So should at least one tank light be on? I have the trailer connecter to power and a constant water supply.

connected to a water supply via hose will not aluminate water level since there is no water in it.
only when you fill fresh water tank will it aluminate .
I would think the empty light should be on yes.

Only comes on when you push the button.
