Magnadyne M35/C125 Backup Camera Cutting Out

I have a Magnadyne M35/C125 backup camera that is cutting out after a bit of driving, say 5 - 10 minutes. The screen is integrated into the rear view mirror with a button that turns on the display. If I leave it on it works cold but then starts to get fuzzy with white lines and then eventually cuts out.

I feel like it is something in the mirror unit that "warms" up and then shorts out the picture, but it's a gradual short out. Magnadyne tech support said it sounded like a bad camera unit. I haven't checked but the camera unit might be easy to replace if there is a harness plug on the wire connected to the back camera.

Has anyone else experienced this or something similar and if so, any hints on how to fix it?

My next step is to purchase a new camera unit, I believe the C125.

Thanks!
