Major Water damage caused by service work
We recently brought our new ( 2 trips - 6 nights) 2013 coachmen Apex 26bhs in for a slide adjustment ( which was missed in our PDI). A week later and first rain storm I decided to drive out and check on the trailer... I opened the door and found a 1/2 of water on our floor which was coming trough the top slide gasket. Needless to say there was water EVERY WHERE.
Now seeings how no manufacture warranties the floor, wood trims or wall treatments, we feel that their negligence has cause premature wear and tear for which there is no coverage in warranty.
I call my insurance company to ask them what our policy covers in regards to water... They informed me that due to the fact the slide was serviced ( a week ago) any and all claims would have to be through my dealer ( Western Rv Leduc, Alberta Canada). I understood not I am dealing with not only a product that will now be void of water claims in the future, but the dealer will simple dry out the unit, inspect the cause and fix what's deemed affected.
I would like feed back onto the issue please.
