Metal separated bottom corner

Hi all, just noticed this gap this morning. It's a bottom front corner. Looks like the metal was folded up and stapled, sitting along a lip at the bottom front of the trailer. Can I lift this up and screw it in? Or just leave as is? Doesn't appear to lead anywhere on the side, but I am not certain. Thanks for taking a look!
