MH Coach steps not working

I have a 2003 georgetown motorhome, and am having problems with the auto steps.

It acts erratic and opens and closes at random, and sometimes not opening or closing all the way. It does this while making a lot of clicking noises.

Now it isn't working at all. (at this point)

I checked the power to it and it is getting 13.4 volts to the junction between the batteries and steps.

I also checked the ground screw and sanded it down so I can be sure the ground is correct.

I also lubricated the joints and moving parts.

Any ideas on what could be causing this.

Ive never had to work on steps. The steps on our old rig would fail to extend or retract at times after periods of non use but a simple rap on the motor with the handle of a hammer would set them to working again. This is a very technical maneuver and not for the unskilled in hitting things

Do a search on Power Steps or steps as there was a gentleman that went through everything on his and I can't remember what the outcome was but he finally found and fixed it.

Is there a switch that controls the steps that might be bad, as in an intermittent fault?
