There are a few things that could cause "a buzzing sound". Among a few, it could be the relay which suppies the transformer, or the Magnetron itself. For the price of a new micro, I'd replace it.

MICROWAVE OVEN - BLACK - W/TRIM KIT... On Sale for Only $128.32

Built in Black Microwave Oven, $119.98

No it's not normal.I would try to have dealer replace it under warranty.

What you are describing is scary to me, I would have it checked out.

Forget what I posted earlier. As cat1956 said, bring it to the dealer for replacement

Sounds like Magic Chief microwaves are junk. I had one as well that hummed but only while in use. Sold camper with it like that.

What tune is it humming?

There is a transformer behind the touch panel that supplies the low voltage for the control circuit. It is normal for it to make a light humming sound. Ours does it too. I can't hear well anymore so it doesn't bother me but DW can hear it.
