Modification to Wildcat 31TS

Hi,

I am hoping someone can answer a question for me. I am looking at purchasing a 31TS from the USA and shipping it to Australia. However due to some very backward requirements here I need to have a door on the left hand side of the van.

I have been looking at the floor plan and would like to know that if a professional van fitter could relocate the fridge and pantry to the left hand side and add a new door where the fridge was. I appreciate there will be alot of making good to be done.

If anyone can let me have their thoughts on this I would really appreciate hearing them.

Thanks in advance Jason

Jason,

If you are buying it new, talk with your dealer. You might be able to have the factory make the modification (at an additional cost).

Hi! Jason

I have a 31TS & I just look at it to see. The problem I see is that the furnace is under the fridg & the duct work for heating. You may lose the pantry too. If you are think a about ordering, I would first check with Forest River & see if they can do the modification you are looking for at the factory. You do have open storage going under the bathroom across the Cat where it look like you can reroute duct. I just don't know if the cost is worth it?? Hope this help some what??

When we toured the Forest River plant in Dallas, Oregon last year they were assembling several Wildcats that were being built to be shipped to Australia.
They sure looked funny with everything switched from left to right.....
