Mohawk tires question

I am getting ready to replace all tires on my trailer, & am probably going to order Maxxis. These will have to be ordered. However, another dealer in my area has a brand of trailer tire called "mohawk", which I have never heard of. Does anybody know about this brand? Are they any good? The besy information that I have found is that they may be a different labeled Yokohama. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Herk. I have already been to that site & it didn't have much to say. I will call them tomorrow, but I don't expect them to say anything but great things about their tires. Just as if you call Carlisle, they'll say that their tires are the best thing since sliced bread, not, "they'll shred within 2000 miles" . I was hoping that someone had some actual experience with the Mohawk brand. Again in doing a Google search, the information comes back with mostly automobile tires, and they state that they are manufactured in the US by Yokohama for Mohawk. We'll keep plugging away for information, or just pick up the Maxxis tires, which are made in Taiwan, but have great reviews.

Thanks again, Bill

I am very happy so far with my Goodyear Marathons. ST225/75R/15 D rated Dot Manufacturer code is MD (Alabama, USA) made 2610 (26 week of 2010). If you specify to the Goodyear dealer you want a US made version within the last year, since they have to order them anyway they might accommodate you.

Just called the Mohawk Rubber company on the site that was posted. They do not manufacture or sell tires. All they deal in is tire supplies, ie: valve stems, TPMS systems, tolls etc.

Still can't find anything out about the tires themselves, so they will be a no-go. Right now it will be either Maxxis, or Goodyear (USA)

Thanks for the replies.

Found absolutely zero information on the Mohawks. I ordered the Maxxis tires today & should have them on the trailer by Friday. Thanks again for all who attempted to assist in this fact gathering mission.
