Monitor panel not functioning correctly

I have a new-to-me 19' 2007 Forest River - Shamrock - Flagstaff travel trailer. The monitor panel for indicating fresh, grey, black and battery levels isn't working correctly. Whenever I push an indicator button the LEDs will flash and immediatly fade to black. Once this has happened you won't get any reaction from any of the buttons until a length of time has passed. This all happens within 1/2 a second so getting an accurate reading is almost impossible. The panel didn't work initially when I first tested it then worked briefly the next day and hasn't worked since for the last week.

Any ideas? Small battery within the monitor panel perhaps?

Thanks

Check the fuse for the monitor panel.....I think it is located in the power converter. . This is how mine acted when the fuse blew. If that ain't the case, take the monitor panel off the wall and check the connections in back.

Thanks I'll do both if needed later today.

I know that none of the indicator lights next to the fuses is on but I'll check the actual fuse, if I can find it.

I've already tried removing the panel cover by hand without success. Is a small screwdriver or something similiar required to pry the cover off?

Thanks

I think that you spread the outer part of the panel with a small screw driver to get the faceplate off.....trying to remember. Maybe others will answer with more certainty.

Does your water pump work ?? Again, if memory serves me correctly, there is only 1 hot wire to the unit, and if the water pump relay doesn't work, that is a good indication that there is no juice going to the panel.

No issues there. The water pump was used quite a bit the first week without issue while I sanitized the system. Unlikely but maybe the only time the indicator lights worked was while the pump was turned on. I'll check that theory tonight as well.

I was able to get the face plate off with a little prying and everything looks fine but looks can be deceiving. As I moved the faceplate around I was able to get relatively consistent working lights. Of course when I tried returning the panel the lights would again just give a quick flash and fade to black.

I may take the 6 or 7 wires off and reseat each one of them. I assume one of them may not be seated quite correctly.

I wonder if I can find a source for the wiring order so I can confirm that is correct at the same time.
