MORE Storm Damage

Much to our dismay an early storm here caused hail damage to our 2006 Salem before we took it out for the season. We did not notice until we actually pulled it out to clean it. We placed a call to our insurance company and it will be covered, although the estimate is high

Until the claim goes though we have continued to use the our TT. We have had many big storms this year but we have not noticed any further damage (although it would be hard to tell).

This past weekend we arrived to the family cottage (where we are set up) and it was a hot day. We turned on the AC and headed to the water. When we came back the TT was warmer than before we got there. I checked the vent and sure enough warm air was blowing in and then the unit shut down.

We brought it back to our repair center who told us the compressor was burnt out along with the wiring and connections. The likely culprit was a lightening strike. Now we have another insurance claim. We are not looking forward to this.

Anyone else had this type of claim for their TT?
