Mystery Switch

I just realized that the switch on the far right in the row of four does not control anything. The switch is wired but turning it on/off does nothing. I'm hoping someone can tell me what it controls on your camper. My guess would be a porch light or step light which I do not have.

Try turning all of your lights on and then flipping that switch. If one of them goes off, you've found the light that it controls. On my MicroLite 21DS, it's the light over the sink.

That makes sense but I have no step light...but I may have a junction box in the underbelly pre-wired for a light.

How about a spot light on the other side? Or outside step light?

No RV_Fann44 it's been raining almost everyday and I've been busy with mods inside the camper. I'll post something when I get a definite answer.

You can always pull a battery lead and put a meter in between and measure the current with the switch on and off to see if there is a load attached to it.

Mine operates the led light over the door. The remote on the wall will affect wether the panel switch will work or not. Maybe your's is the same?

Thank you both, I'll check these ideas out next time I get out to the camper.

Thank you 67vtx1800, The mystery is solved. Turning the switch on does nothing BUT, if you turn on the LED strip under the awning using the remote, you can then turn the LED strip off using the panel switch. Then you can turn the LED strip back on with the panel switch. Kinda like having a porch light.

Glad you figured it out! NOW the question is.... will you use this switch?

Yep now that the switch will turn the LED's on and off it will be my "porch light" from this point on.

I use mine all the time because I don't change colors or brightness often. However I swapped the position for the one to the left of it that runs the inside ceiling light because I can never find it in the dark! Makes more sense for it to be closer to the door as it is for an outside light and the other switch be the inner most as it operates a light on the inside...
