Mystery - What is this switch for? 2007 Rockwood 8313SS

Hi folks,

A friend and I bought a used 2007 Rockwood 8313SS last year. It was in pristine condition and I've used it all summer, but for the life of me I can't figure out what this switch in the monitor panel is for. It's at the top, above the water heater and slide out switch. There is also a tank heater and battery/tank level panel. I can't find anything in the manuals provided to me about this switch. Could it be an inverter switch??? I haven't checked for an inverter as of yet.

It's the top switch in the attached photo.

Thanks for the help!

There is no picture but it could be for your water pump.

hmm....sorry about no photo. It's not the water pump. I can see that switch. It looks like a normal light switch, but doesn't seem to control a light. Let me work on uploading a new photo.

Well could it be what some of have found. Is it to the outlet by the door? Some of us have outlets that are controlled by a switch, for your awning lights and such.

I had a switch like that that puzzled me for several months. It turned out to be the outside step lights. Two other "mystery switches" turned out to be the left and right side security lights.

Your unit would not have come with an inverter and the converter does not work off a switch. My first thought was the water pump but you already said it’s not that so my next best guess would be for the outside scare lights.

The video says it has Tank Heaters. Are either of the switches labeled "Tank Heaters?" If not, this switch may be for that and you'd never see anything happen when you switch it on.

The tank heater is the smaller lighted switch. The larger lighted switch is the gas portion of the water heater.

Still thinking security or stair lights.

120v electric side of the water heater?

Well, not that that switch controls 120v. Just the switch to the control board for the electric side on the water heater.

I said it was the switch for the gas side. The AC side is outside in the lower left corner of the water heater.

On my last 2 RV's I had a switch on the inside for the electric side of the water heater. My last TT had an Attwood heater so only the 1 switch inside. Our present 5'er had a Suburban and I have both an outside switch on the water heater as well as a switch in my control center which also has a separate switch & light right next to it for the propane side.

But, you could be correct. I see scare lights in the video posted by fonzie.

The photo of Michelle's switch panel shows the same gas water heater switch and system fault light that goes with the standard dual heat source Suburban water heater.

How about the water heater. Should have one for propane and one for electric.

Could it possibly be the switch that controls the electric water heater element? It looks similar to what is on my water heater inside the outside panel.
