Need Advice on Electric Awning Issue

So I thought the motor on my Solera awning had a flat spot on a gear or the motor windings. The awning will not extend without me manually extending the awning 6". After that it is fine except for a slight skip in the action.

Turns out the right extending arm is binding on the stationary arm when fully closed. Can I adjust this misalignment or do I need to "tweak" the arm a little? It appears that the motor is already cocked to the left which is the direction the arm needs to twist. Any ideas?Click image for larger version

Google Solera parts. That head you are looking at may not be out of alignment.

I have not had trouble extending it. Mine gave me trouble retracting when it sounded like it was pulling the mounts out of the TT wall. I am still watching it as it only happened twice.

A look at the head mount:

Haven't had any problems like that on my Solera. I just have problems with the extension arms not staying in place- probably stripped bolt on one end. It came this way. Are you under warranty still?
