need an rv teacher in largo fl

Hi, we just purchased a 2013 Wildwood 27rlss from a private owner and am looking for any first hand knowledge of how our rv works. We are looking for someone to teach us rv 101 for our particular model. We are willing to pay for the knowledge. We are also looking for a good mechanic to give it a good once over. Would have done all of this before purchasing, but got a deal we couldn't refuse. We are located in largo florida.

Welcome from Citrus County, Fl.

I no longer have a travel trailer but have owned one from 1999 until this past June when we traded our Flagstaff in. I don't have any knowledge about the Wildwood but I am sure it is similar to the Flagstaff in a lot of ways. PM me with your contact info, I can probably cover most stuff over the phone with you. I do get to Pinellas county about once a month and will be down there this Tuesday unless it is pouring rain (which is quite likely) and could give you some instruction if needed.

There is another member on here who I think owns an A-Frame and lives in the St. Pete area.

Also, we are having a Forest River Owners Group rally in Williston Sept 17th thru 20th if you are interested. You can find it under FROG events here on the forum.

rvservicereviews.com has an excellent directory of repair facilities along with customer reviews. Some are mobile and will come to you.

I don't know your particular model, but have owned two travel trailers and live in Clearwater. Any questions you have, you can post here and get answers. Send me a private message if you want us to stop by and take a look.

When I need service I can't perform myself, I take it to Harberson RV - 17028 US-19, Clearwater, FL 33764 - (727) 539-8714 - Friendly service even if you didn't buy from them, even on older units (my first one was).

There are some fantastic DVDs put out by GoodSam: ABCs of RVs
They go through each system, how they work, how to maintain them, how to be safe on the road......
Well worth watching and even keeping in the camper for when issues come up.
I've been camping 45yrs and have worked on every part of a camper and I love these DVDs
